I am really excited to announce the launch of a new series – Photo of the Week. Bringing you a little glimpse into my bewildering life on the road, through the lens.
This week I have found myself settled back into life in Cabarete, my second home. It’s wonderful to be back, seeing old friends, falling back into old routines, hiding out in corners that I know and love. All is not the same this time around though – this trip to Cabarete takes a very different shape to the previous ones. Normally I hit the pillow exhausted each night after a day packed full of flying trapeze and playing around on the waves all afternoon with my kite. What with my recent ACL injury, I’ve had to slow down and find a different rhythm. It’s certainly been a challenge, watching all those beautiful kites flying out there on the water, with my feet firmly planted on the ground. But it has opened up a little window in my life, that I now fill with watching, writing, admiring, and taking photographs. So as the storm swept into Cabarete one afternoon this week, instead of manically packing up my gear, I got a chance to sit back, breath it all in, and take this little gem.
Until next week, folks. Happy adventures wherever you are.
